The main dining room is situated toward the back of the restaurant, and it’s MASSIVE. It’s laden with booths and tables, and decorated with lots of greenery and natural light. Once we get more information on Summer House on the Lake, like a menu, we’ll share, but in the meantime, does this restaurant seem like a place you’ll try on your next visit to Walt Disney World? And of course, there are desserts available! There are a few options on the main menu including Gooey Lemon Cake and 7 Layer Chocolate Cake. Well, the restaurant is a chain that’s California-based, and you’ll see those tastes evident in many of the menu items. The lunch/dinner menu begins with a selection of starters, including Signature Guacamole, Potato Salad Deviled Eggs, Truffle Fries, and Cheesy Dream Puffs.

Plus, rosé afficcionados are sure to love the signature Rosé Cart, featuring an alluring array of options. The decor is minimal, with lots of natural light coming into the restaurant. There are also lots of plants and trees inside, giving it a very cool California-style vibe. Once again, that sugar cookie base isn’t really anything to write home about. Very similar to something you could make yourself. The fudge icing was really fudgy and had a good chocolate flavor, but it’s very rich!
The tomato sauce is light while the cheese is thick. It’s nothing special but it’s good for picky eaters. We were also delighted by the plates having the restaurant’s name on them, it’s a simple thing, but it offers a lot. The restaurant has a mostly white color palette, accented by light-colored woods and various plants. Pancakes, waffles, salads, and sandwiches are also available to choose from, along with a selection of other items from the lunch and dinner menus.

There’s a second bar in this section of the restaurant. Bar seating is first-come, first-serve — you can inquire at the podium outside. Wine lovers will definitely want to try a glass of the restaurant’s exclusive Summer House Rosé. In addition you’ll find a selection of wine, beer, handcrafted cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks. We can’t wait to sip our favorite drinks on one of three beautiful outdoor patios with lake views.
Along with a main entertaining room featuring an indoor/outdoor rock fireplace, the Parr House will include an art studio, kitchen, dining room, boardroom and five bedrooms. It’s still very early days for the project and we suspect that it may be later in 2023 before Summer House officially welcomes its first guests to the Walt Disney World location. Slated to open at some point in 2023, Summer House on the Lake will feature a California-inspired menu with simple sustainable ingredients. The interior photo shared in the Summer House on the Lake announcement shows an off-white interior and an upscale dining feel.
A large construction wall surrounds the location. It features signage that highlights the atmosphere and menu of the future eatery. It’s nice to see some vegan and vegetarian items listed on the menu. That was one of the main attractions for the Beatrix dining concept coming to Disney Springs.
The serving size is pretty small for the price. It was bubbly like soda water, and had a strong strawberry flavor. It wasn’t very sweet until I got to the bottom of the glass, but it was nice and refreshing. When you arrive at the restaurant, those with a reservation can check in at the podium outside. From there, you’ll be directed indoors to be seated. Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for further Walt Disney World news and updates.
There is so much going on with the cornbread that we didn’t taste the honey butter, but the bread has its own sweetness. This is great for sharing with a big group and we’ll be coming back for it. This is very different from the Walt Disney World cornbread that guests may be used to. There are kernels of corn that pop when you bite into them and large chunks of jalapeño.
It comes with a lemon on the side, and I squeezed some on top to add a tart, fruity flavor. The lemon, arugula, and chicken in one bite was the way to go. The Ahi Tuna Tostadas more accurately fit in the “starters” category because they’re served in small, bite-sized portions. They’re a bit pricier than the starters though at $18.95. They’re topped with hass avocado and Thai chili on a crispy corn tortilla.
