Add a Convenient Changing Station

Create the cutest boho nursery room with cute butterflies, cute pastel rainbow tones, and cute textiles. A young family enlisted Timothy Haynes and Kevin Roberts to craft a stylish new take on the traditional beach house. In the nursery, the sofa is by Jonathan Adler, the 1980s table is by Milo Baughman, the 1960s fiberglass chairs are Italian, and the carpet is by Missoni. The ceiling is painted in Benjamin Moore Aura in Rhododendron and Peachy Keen, and the wood blinds are painted inBenjamin Moore Satin Impervo in Onyx.

A floral-inspired chandelier and a pink and white patterned rug take center stage in a girl's nursery design by Lisa Sherry Interieurs. The opposite of minimalism, these “maximalist” baby rooms are colorful, eccentric, and artsy. Choose a rug or chandelier accented with fringes and tassels, and feel free to mix and match fabric textures. Embrace international decor with a colorful Persian rug on the floor and silk mandala-printed pillows in your nursing chair. This pretty pink nursery adds a contrasting touch of black to create a bold space with lots of character and even a more elegant, refined look. Calming greys and whites can create a space that is both tranquil and peaceful, and these are all elements that are necessary for a baby’s room.

Monochrome Safari Nursery Theme

Add in a modern mirror and you have a space that is ready to welcome your baby home. Also, it’s important to remember that the nursery should be a comfortable place for grown-ups to spend time, too. Once you have chosen your furniture selection for your nursery, make sure to anchor any tall dressers, hutches, or bookcases securely to the wall to prevent dangerous tipping accidents. Discreet L-brackets and half-moon wall straps protect without detracting from your design aesthetic.

BRING IN WALL DECALS

Neutral colors can also be soothing, but you should add pops of red, pink, or yellow to brighten up the space. Most parents shy away from dark colors in a nursery, but proper use of these hues can be the one thing that takes the room from “Okay” to “Wow! ” The secret to making dark colors work in a nursery is to use them intentionally and somewhat sparingly. A dark gray or walnut crib and dresser add a classic touch that lighter woods cannot convey. Corduroy, velvet, chunky cable knits, or shimmery satin takes curtains or blankets from boring to inviting.

And don’t forget to decorate the walls with paint, wallpaper, or framed art or decor hung securely on the wall. Now, all colors – even blue – are welcome in a baby girl’s nursery design. If you’re not into pink but want a similar feeling of warmth, use pale peach or lavender instead. Gray goes well with these soft feminine hues, and you can use it for flooring or furniture.

Decorate with some unicorn plush animals and beaded pendant light for a boho touch. The good news is that a baby's room doesn't require a lot of furniture. The essential nursery furniture includes a crib, dresser/ changing table, nursery chair, and side table. Let the cute animals do the talking in this Boy Safari Nursery Room Idea! Create a cute safari-inspired nursery room with cute animal wall decals, cute wooden furniture, and cute accents. Create a cute safari-inspired nursery room with cute animal wall decals, cute rattan furniture, and cute accents.

Here, the clothes rack makes quite a statement in the baby's room and is a brilliant solution for organizing baby's clothes. It's also crucial to remember the importance of establishing a budget. Ascertain how much you're comfortably able to allocate to the nursery's decoration and furnishing.

The sweet pink colors in this room are perfect for any new baby girl. It’s soft, romantic and feminine with a hint of rustic for good measure. If you want to give your baby’s room a bohemian vibe, place an open teepee in their nursery. You can decorate it with tassels and a macrame rainbow (these are so popular now!) for that extra touch of style.

While we love Elmo on our TV, we crave something more sophisticated to decorate with. Biscuit Home has a beautiful collection of crib sheets and skirts to elevate the nursery. Montessori-inspired toys are typically less vibrant than other options. The neutral, more muted colors blend in with your decor, plus they encourage young kids to use their imaginations while playing. The company Cassarokids offers sustainable climbers, ramps, and rockers that will provide kids with endless entertainment. Make a cute and colorful statement in this Butterflies and Rainbow Boho Nursery Room Idea!

Grand Reveal of the Disney Treasure, Disney Cruise Lines Newest Ship

disney cruise line treasure ship

And rounding up the dining offerings is the Zootopia-themed Jumbeaux’s Sweets, where 20 flavors of house-made gelato and specialty treats abound. A new Broadway-style show called "Disney The Tale of Moana" will debut aboard the Disney Treasure, the cruise line unveiled in October. It joins existing “Beauty and the Beast” and “Disney Seas the Adventure" productions as part of the ship's entertainment offerings. The staterooms on board are built with families in mind and feature upscale amenities.

Disney Treasure Construction Milestone: Ship is Floating

The Disney Treasure and the Disney Destiny will soon be next to each other in the shipyard, marking an unprecedented era of growth for Disney Cruise Line. Disney Cruise Line has accessible staterooms and suites for passengers with disabilities on all of its ships, according to its website. The majority of guest areas on the vessels are wheelchair accessible, and the ships have accessible public bathrooms, as well as other services. The luxurious accommodations aboard the Disney Treasure will strike an inviting balance between modern design and nostalgic charm with a fresh, natural color scheme and custom artwork that entices guests to peer beyond their staterooms into fantastical worlds from heartwarming Disney adventures.

ADULT DINING

In addition to watching the latest sports games, explorers at the Periscope Pub will encounter a menu of craft brews and light bites. This 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea-inspired pub replaces Keg & Compass, which is a nice and underrated venue–this is the perfect thematic fit for it. In an expansive district themed to Mickey and friends, families will discover seven pools staggered among tiered decks, an abundance of luxe lounge chairs, an imaginative take on fast-casual fare with a festive character twist and Disney Cruise Line’s own attraction at sea, AquaMouse. Surrounded by both the open ocean and sky, the adventures will continue on the upper decks of the Disney Treasure with three distinct districts offering fun water activities, quick and casual dining options and plenty of space to relax and soak up the sun. Hero Zone and the Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas, popular spaces from the Disney Wish, will provide family entertainment aboard the Disney Treasure. The third, all-new production for the Disney Treasure is “The Tale of Moana,” featuring set design and music with elements of Pacific Islands culture that inspires the classic coming-of-age tale.

How will Disney Treasure incorporate theme parks?

The suite was inspired the Walt Disney World Resort theme park, EPCOT and its World Discovery neighborhood. It overlooks the top deck of the Disney Treasure, and guests staying in these ultra-luxurious accommodations can enjoy views of the open horizon through its two-story window. The worlds of Disney and Pixar will come to life for guess with two new entertainment-rich eateries. Plaza de Coco provides a theatrical dining experience themed to the beloved movie “Coco”. Guests will sit at tables that surround a stage where they can watch performances and show effects, and they will enjoy two completely dinner dining experiences here during their cruise. Like all Disney Cruise Line restaurants, they will happily accommodate vegans, vegetarians, gluten-free diners, and those with other dietary needs.

Since this site often trafficks in Walt Disney World comparisons, think of the Treasure and Wish as being akin to the Yacht and Beach Club, whereas the earlier ships are the BoardWalk Inn. Highly imperfect comparison, but should convey the general idea of what to expect in terms of similarities and differences. Like the Disney Wish, the Disney Treasure is being constructed at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany and will also be powered by liquefied natural gas. At approximately 144,000 gross tons, the Disney Treasure will be slightly larger than the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. Triton Class confirmed as the internal project name for Disney Cruise Line’s LNG-Powered new builds.

Some of the movies that will be integrated into the interior, ocean-view and verandah cabins are "Aladdin," "Pocahontas," "Finding Nemo," "Up," "Luca" and "Encanto." Marvelous progress took place today at Meyer Werft shipyard as the bow of the Disney Treasure was mounted to the forward section of the ship. This photo illustrates how the shipyard team carefully installs the bow block using a crane. The bow block was held in position with the help of a high-precision laser scanner until it was fully welded to the foreship.

Disney Theme Parks Inspiration On The Disney Treasure

Imagineers will place a special sculpture at the base of the Tomorrow Tower Suite’s spiral staircase that honors the iconic EPCOT landmark, Spaceship Earth. The sculpture will bring the spirit of EPCOT to life when guests enter the suite through music and lighting effects. Families will discover seven pools staggered among tiered decks, an abundance of luxe lounge chairs, an imaginative take on fast-casual fare with a festive character twist and a thrilling water attraction, AquaMouse, in an expansive district themed to Mickey and friends. Family fun is plentiful in Hero Zone, a progressive sports and recreation venue, on deck 12 aft. Hero Zone offers a space where physical activity blends with imagination where guests will “go the distance” during action-packed physical challenges and game show-style competitions for families to play together. On the second night, Miguel will reunite with his great-great grandparents, Hector and Mama Imelda, by transporting them to Santa Cecilia with the help of his magic guitar for a Día de los Muetos celebration.

The Disney-trained counselors watch over children and encourage imaginative play and learning. Other live entertainment on board the ship includes the Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party that encourages fun and dancing on the upper decks. In addition to the layout, I’d also love to see the Disney Treasure be more thematically coherent than the Disney Wish. That ship is definitely a hodgepodge, like the ‘studios park’ of the Disney Cruise Line fleet. My hope is that the Disney Treasure will narrow its focus and largely be “Adventureland on the Ocean,” but the ship has already sailed to some degree on that with some of the returning franchises. My other biggest hope with the Disney Treasure is that it’ll correct unforced layout errors with the Disney Wish.

If you want to sail on the maiden voyage of Disney Treasure, for two guests, the price starts at $8,773 for an inside cabin and $11,279 for a balcony cabin. Most of the ship's Eastern Caribbean itineraries will include the same ports, but a few swap out St. Thomas for San Juan, Puerto Rico. The "Lion King"-themed Sarabi will be the ship's two-story, multipurpose entertainment zone (replacing Luna from Disney Wish). Disney Treasure will debut "Disney The Tale of Moana" as its new Broadway-style musical.

While its Tower Suite was themed to "Moana," Disney Treasure's version will be inspired by Epcot and feature a futuristic design. In December 2024, the curtain will open on a brand-new original Broadway-style production on the Disney Treasure. The show will follow Moana as she embarks on an incredible journey to save her island after she is chosen by the ocean to restore the heart of Te Fiti. Fans of the original film will recognize many beloved characters like Gramma Tala, Maui and Tamatoa when they appear on stage, as well as songs from the film’s iconic soundtrack. Then there’s the Tomorrow Tower Suite, a one-of-a-kind suite that is in the ship’s forward tunnel.

Passengers are welcomed into the Aladdin-themed Grand Hall upon embarkation, where Mickey Mouse and various Disney princesses are often milling about under a massive golden chandelier. Disney Cruise Line is known for its evening rotational dining dinner service, a Disney Cruise staple since 1998, in which guests and their service staff travel through three distinct dining experiences throughout a voyage. "This is a truly immersive experience. You actually get to dine with Miguel and his family through musical extravaganza—it's going to be a lot of fun," said Daniel Cowen, a senior manager overseeing dining standards and service excellence.

“We're taking our guests to beautiful real places, but also fantastical stories that we're bringing to life on the Disney Treasure,” Pam Rawlins, executive producer of Walt Disney Imagineering in Florida, said during a media preview. Beloved by generations of Disney Parks goers, Figment is the adorable purple dragon who first debuted at the Journey Into Imagination attraction at EPCOT at Walt Disney World. In the Tomorrow Tower Suite, guests will encounter Figment posing in various hiding places. Jade Cricket Café, inspired by the classic Disney film “Mulan,” will honor the Fa Family’s “lucky” cricket, Cri-Kee, who will be represented by a jade sculpture on the bar top.

In case you’re not familiar with this maritime milestone, it’s important to know that cruise ships are built in blocks (sections). With the last block in place, this means that the ship is now structurally complete and outfitting work can begin. Other Disney Cruise Line ships include the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Wish.

In our experience, these shops typically have only a handful of people in them at a time, and are majorly underutilized. Now, I “get” that high end third party retail is both expected on cruise ships and is (somehow) lucrative for Disney Cruise Line. Disney Cruise Line (thankfully) does not follow industry standards on that, and they don’t need to do so with luxury retail, either.

Expertly developed programming combines physical play and age-appropriate technology to create deeply engaging, enriching experiences led by a team of Disney-trained counselors. Disney’s Oceaneer Club onboard the Disney Treasure will feature a familiar mix of dedicated spaces based on Imagineering, Star Wars, Marvel, Mickey & Friends, as well as Princesses for guests ranging in age from 3-12. This theater-in-the-round entertainment venue will feature dining tables surrounding a central stage, with performances and show effects that will spread throughout the room. Guests will enjoy two different nights of unique dining experiences at Plaza de Coco during their voyage. Other adult favorite dining such as The Rose, Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement will offer amazing views and gourmet meals.

What Shoes to Bring for a Cruise for day, evening & shore excursions

best shoes for a cruise

If you work out at home, you can definitely keep up with your fitness routine on a cruise. These cute flat sandals are comfortable and can be worn on sea days as well as when walking in the town on port days. They’re great to take you from the Lido deck to the Promenade deck for a stroll around the entire ship. My feet and ankles sometimes get swollen on a cruise, so I like to change shoes between the day and evening, and even have some open back shoes just in case.

Merell Moab 2 Waterproof Boot: Best For Hiking

Another option for women who love breathability and comfort while cruising. Sanuk Yoga Sling 2 Shimmer is made from the same material as yoga mats. These shoes are designed especially for long days where you’ll have your shoes on for the whole day. Another feature we appreciate a lot about these shoes is their lightweight.

Hiking Boots

Espadrilles look stylish and are perfect for a Caribbean or a Bermuda cruise. They can be worn for casual and smart casual evenings on a cruise, however will also look cute with nice shorts for a day of shopping in port. If cruising to Alaska or in cool or wet weather, make sure to bring warm shoes for outdoors, and/or ankle boots. Sneakers or walking shoes with sturdy soles are ideal for walking on uneven terrain and sightseeing. In this article, we will explore which types of shoes you should bring on a cruise to ensure that you’re prepared for any adventure that awaits.

Best Winter Boots for Alaska: Sorel Joan of Arctic Waterproof Snow Boot

Their quilted uppers and patent toe-caps recall a certain Chanel classic. The brand’s Kani slip-on sneaker is also a good pick for active days, with the same removable footbed and sleek styling that’s equally suitable on board as in town. For dinner and dressier outings, we’re partial to these glam Loeffler Randall block heels in an evening-appropriate metallic. Bring athletic shoes that provide excellent support and stability for activities like running, yoga, or hitting the gym. Remember to pack moisture-wicking socks to keep your feet dry during your workouts. Depending on the type of exercise you enjoy, these sneakers might be able to double up as your comfortable walking shoes or casual shoes.

Skechers Go Walk Sneakers

In the evenings, these studded snakeskins flats from Steve Madden will keep you grounded—even during swelling seas—without sacrificing style. For days on deck or wandering into town to get lunch, the Sofft Mirabelle sandals are a lovely, lightweight pair that offers comfort and style! They feature a cushioned footbed with moderate arch support, and the gladiator-style straps will keep your feet super stable. It’s a unique situation in that you’ll be in a variety of situations and sometimes face changing weather conditions all on one journey. It’s a good idea to bring just one pair of dress shoes that can go with your outfits for formal nights. I like to bring a pair of gold strappy dress shoes, as they look fabulous with every color of dress (black, white, navy ect).

They’re one of the best walking shoes for Europe because they help you "blend in" with the European style while being comfortable enough to walk in for hours. You'd likely rather be strolling along the cobblestone streets in supportive and stylish shoes, feeling the breeze between your toes without sacrificing your fashion sense. We looked at everything from loafers to sandals, slip-ons to sneakers and handpicked the winners that tick the boxes for comfort, style and affordability. There are two basic requirements for shoes for onboard a cruise ship. Thankfully, this is a shoe niche that has long been filled under the category of boat shoes.

Skechers Boat Shoe: Best For Overall Comfort

It’s definitely a good idea to pack a rain jacket or shell for inclement weather while cruising or on shore. Are you even on a cruise if you’re not wearing nautical stripes? Do so in style with Long Wharf Supply ethically made sweaters. These Adidas Cloudform running shoes are great for home and cruise.

best shoes for a cruise

If you can, opt for a pair that you have already broken in to avoid blisters and discomfort during long walks. If you are buying a new pair of shoes, give yourself a few weeks to try them out and make sure they will be comfortable for your cruise. Cruises often feature sunny, beachy destinations, making sandals or flip-flops a must-pack item.

Best Types of Shoes for Cruises – For Any Need

However, this isn’t the only reason for choosing these sandals to be on this list of the best shoes for cruises. Thus, comfort was the number one feature they prioritized while manufacturing these shoes. Moreover, the soles are rubber with a shock absorption system for the best knees and ankles support.

Comfortable walking shoes are a must to bring on your cruise. Running shoes or sneakers could work equally well, especially for active shore excursions. A good tip for bringing shoes on a cruise, is to choose neutral colors for versatility – think beige, tan, and even gold.

Of course, you may prefer black or a neutral tan dress shoe, which can go with more than one outfit as well. These cute and casual woven flat sandals are very popular this year for good reason. They sell out quickly, so if you do like them, make sure to order when they are in stock. I love the nude shade, but these sandals are sold in several colors. These considerations will influence what you pack, so be sure to review your itinerary before you decide which footwear to include.

But as you pack your suitcase for this great adventure, it’s crucial to not overlook the importance of selecting the right shoes. Cruise Hive was established back in 2008 and among the earliest blogs in the industry. Since the start, it's been our aim to provide the latest cruise news covering all the major cruise lines.

Activities vary cruise ship to cruise ship, but if your ship has for example, rock climbing, a ropes course, zip lining, or laser tag you will need close toed shoes like runners. The Sorel Out ‘N About sneakers are reader favorites because they offer support, a sturdy construction, and SO much style. They have the traction and waterproofing needed to walk around in the rain or even go glacier trekking.

Caribbean towns often have uneven pavement or sidewalks, meaning that you'll need something more durable than wimpy beach shoes. That's why we like these slingback walking shoes from Easy Spirit. They have a closed toe so you can do an ATV excursion, but there's enough arch support and ventilation to make them comfy all day. A pair of comfortable walking shoes is essential for shore excursions and exploring new destinations. Look for lightweight, breathable options (especially if you’re headed somewhere warm!) with excellent arch support and cushioning. I own the On Cloud 5 shoes, and these are what I wear for theme park touring, neighborhood walking, flying, and for the first day on a cruise.

Plus, if you are someone who doesn’t like to be barefoot, they can double as “slippers” in your ship cabin or hotel room. In addition to the types of shoes, you’ll want to make sure you pack shoes that match your cruise outfits. I generally bring shoes in a neutral color – like black, tan, white, and navy blue.

So there you have it, the six pairs of shoes that you need for a cruise. I think that six is probably the most that you would ever need. But, if you plan to travel light then you should easily travel in some running shoes and just pack a pair of evening shoes and something for the pool or beach. On most evenings of your cruise, the dress code will be casual so you’re free to wear whatever you feel comfortable in. You can dress up for dinner with a nice summer dress or relax in jeans – it’s your call.

Carnival Cruises Review for April 2024 Best Cruise Lines

As its name suggests, RedFrog Rum Bar has a variety of rum-based drinks to fit a cool Caribbean vibe. On Carnival Ecstasy, the RedFrog Rum Bar was much smaller than the images I saw online for other ships. This was one of my favorite spots last time I cruised; so, on our first sea day, I decided to have this for lunch.

How Do You Access the Internet Once on the Ship?

Compare that to the 65% of cabins on Royal Caribbean's Symphony of the Seas (launched in 2018) that are balcony cabins. That said, Carnival has seen the success that some of its competitors have had with a bigger range of upscale accommodations, and it's eyeing more suites for future vessels. The line's two newest ships, Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration, each have 180 suites — more than twice the number found on the vessels Carnival was unveiling a few years ago.

Compare Ships

When looking at the fares for each sailing in July (the peak of the cruise season in North America), we found that Carnival’s fares are less expensive on average. If you want to sail the more inexpensive cruise line, however, then you’re better off with Carnival according to our analysis. Food on Carnival Jubilee is good, with some fun surprises that border on great, and the variety is excellent. Entertainment, and a schedule packed with daily activities, is wildly fun and hits on a range that will appeal to almost everyone.

Major Differences Between Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL)

Carnival has been rolling out faster Wi-Fi systems across its fleet in the last couple of years, such that you can now stream video on some ships. Pricing changes over time, but the fastest "premium" service on Carnival vessels was recently priced at $21.25 per day when bought in advance ($25 per day when bought onboard). The quality of the food (and drink) on Carnival ships always surprises us, given the budget pricing of the brand.

In a nod to Carnival’s history, cruisers will find plenty of objects onboard that have come from past ships. These include the original 1934 Rolls Royce Saloon car that sailed aboard Carnival Ecstasy until that ship was taken out of service, which now finds a home next to the entrance to the Golden Jubilee Bar. Carnival Splendor sails the Southern Hemisphere around Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific on cruises that range from two to 10 days. The ship has Carnival’s only quick-service Indian restaurant and boasts a pool with a retractable roof, so you can swim without worrying about the weather. The ship debuted the restaurant Cucina del Capitano, which is now onboard multiple ships in the fleet. I sailed the Carnival Magic years ago, but I vividly remember spending an entire day enjoying the amenities at the Cloud 9 Spa and eating at the Mongolian Wok quick-service restaurant almost every afternoon for lunch.

is carnival cruise good

Keep in mind that if you do go that route, you will have to buy it for all remaining days of the cruise. This only applies to pre-booked excursions, and if you are claiming you found a lower price (and thus asking for reimbursement) it has to be for the same tour. If, for instance, Carnival includes lunch, and you find the same tour cheaper without lunch, that doesn't count. Rather than choosing a specific cabin, you are choosing a low cruise rate without knowing exactly what level of cabin you will get.

Cobranded Cards

Created in partnership with Food Network's Guy Fieri, Guy's Burger Joint offers burgers that beat anything you'll find around the pool on other mass-market ships and even most luxury vessels. This is a notable change for the brand from just a couple of decades ago. There was a time when Carnival operated some of the biggest cruise ships in the world.

While there are lots of ships to choose from, they all look and feel the same. Because all staterooms are designed for double occupancy, it's generally a rule that a person traveling alone must pay both fares. This means they would pay twice as much per person as two people sharing a room. Shorter Australia voyages might include a stop at just one of the above destinations or even no stops at all — a so-called "cruise to nowhere."

Cabins and suites

However, if you are familiar with the cruising industry, you know how polarizing Carnival cruises can be. It seems as though people either love cruising on Carnival or they avoid their ships at all costs. Just look at the comments on one of our recent TikToks and you’ll see how passionate (positive and negative) people are about Carnival. Whether you're searching for an inexpensive vacation, a family-friendly vessel or a ship that will take you on a longer voyage to Europe, there's a Carnival cruise to fit your taste and budget. A great contender for the title of best Carnival ship for singles is Carnival Sunrise.

And admission to Thrill Waterpark on CocoCay has also been higher or lower (including some prices of more than $150!) depending on the individual cruise. Are you a Royal Caribbean fan, but also love to travel the world? The cruise line has trips sailing everywhere from the United States to Asia to Europe. While most trips are from the U.S., there are a number of other options if you are a fan of the cruise line but want to experience somewhere new. Want to have a margarita and dance in conga line around the pool?

One of Carnival’s signature food options is the Carnival Deli, which serves old-time favorite sandwiches. There was a large menu with both hot and cold sandwich options. I tried the Dirty Mojito, which had spiced rum and brown sugar. My sister had the Red Rum’s Treasure, which was the most popular drink at the bar according to the bartenders. The small tacos, served on flour tortillas, reminded me of street tacos.

Most of the ship’s restaurants are located aft on the Carnival Jubilee deck plan, with the ship’s Jubilee Theater forward. Rooms are located on every deck, except for decks 6, 7, 18 and 19. On decks that offer both cabins and public spaces, rooms are located at the front of the ship.

Other popular venues found on some Carnival ships include RedFrog Pub, which serves up Carnival's tasty housemade beers on tap, as well as plenty of other choices. The latter venue was created in partnership with Food Network's Guy Fieri and serves a free lunch on embarkation and sea days, with all items smoked on board. In addition, every ship has at least one — and usually several — extra-charge eateries. The two venues have flat fees of $49 and $24 per person, respectively.

All Carnival cruises offer production shows, pools and hot tubs, games, trivia, bingo, and more. Combine that with short, affordable voyages from Miami, and you can sail to the Bahamas or Caribbean for four or five nights from as little as $104 per night if you're solo. Short sailings also tend to draw a more fun-loving, social crowd.

Passengers in AquaClass staterooms or Suites eat at Blu Restaurant, offering lighter "spa-inspired" cuisine. The Luminae Restaurant is named "Luminae at The Retreat" and (along with Blu) is part of the private, Suite Class passengers exclusive complex "The Retreat". Suite passengers have also the option to eat in the Main Dining Rooms (Normandie Restaurant, Tuscan Restaurant, Cosmopolitan Restaurant, Cyprus Restaurant). These 4 complimentary restaurants serve menus inspired by the itinerary/destinations visited.

Smartphone sensors are used to track passengers on the ship in order to improve services based on their location. At Qsine, passengers can order on iPads, then waiters bring the food in the order of choosing. Celebrity Cruises differs from other big ship cruise lines in that it tends to kick things up a notch in the style and quality departments. The price tag remains in the middle of the pack, but its new line of Edge Class ships has propelled Celebrity forward to represent a new level of cruising.

Discover the unparalleled luxury of The Retreat®, exclusively for guests of The Retreat. Unwind in transformational accommodations that blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living. And embark on a culinary journey through an unrivaled collection of restaurants, bars, and lounges. Perfectly designed Sky Suite offer a blend of expansive views and intimate luxury. The split bathroom features a large spa tub with shower and a sliding panel that allows views to the room and the ocean beyond.

Unwind inside luxurious accommodations and discover one-of-a-kind venues while sailing around the world on Celebrity Apex, one of the most cutting-edge ships in our fleet. Every effort is taken to deliver easy ship access and an unrivaled cruise vacation for our guests. Exclusive to guests of The Retreat, including a private restaurant, sundeck, lounge & more. The Retreat Lounge, on Deck 15, is busier from tea time on, offering grab-and-go drinks (like sparkling water or soft drinks) in small coolers, or a full bar with anything you could want.

Split bathroom arrangement offers a powder room, a separate spa tub/shower area, and a master dressing area with dual sink and vanity, and a full wardrobe. Celebrity Suites are located close to the Retreat with a private restaurant, exclusive lounge, and a private pool area complete with its own pool bar. Celebrity Apex®, the second ship in our revolutionary Edge® Series, is a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Rated resort at sea.

I’m a big fan of Celebrity’s new Infinite Veranda staterooms, which swap the traditional balcony design for a larger cabin. By making better use of space, the original balcony area becomes part of the cabin’s living area. When you want fresh air, the touch of a button electronically lowers a window panel that makes the entire room a balcony of its own. Transparent panels can also slide closed to recreate the traditional balcony for those who want it. Edge class staterooms on the ship, although slightly smaller, have the same Infinite Veranda concept. AquaClass cabins, which are not part of The Retreat, still offer an upgraded experience thanks to a private restaurant and free access to the spa and thermal suite.

Grand Plaza's cafes are the perfect choice for "coffee breaks" - from morning cappuccino to afternoon tea and pre-dinner cocktails - while enjoying live entertainment. In the evenings, Grand Plaza transforms into the ship's social hub with live music performances. Ship's Kids Club offers by the "Camp at Sea" program over 500 complimentary activities for children of all ages. The facility features two (new for the fleet) separate spaces (for kids and teens) called "The Basement". Theater's main stage is extending (into the audience) and is flanked by two directional rotating platforms raising over 2 m (7 ft) above the main stage.

The industry-first Magic Carpet is both the best way to take in spectacular views and the most exciting place to be. By changing function and location, it provides an incredible array of visual perspectives and a distinct experience on every deck it visits. Locate your stateroom, and our world-class amenities and venues throughout the ship. Guests also get upgraded to the premium drink package, get faster Wi-Fi, onboard credit and a shore excursion credit, along with premium reserved seating for shows. You'll find 25 accessible cabins onboard, across multiple cabin categories. From the USA, Celebrity Apex cruises to ports in the Western Caribbean (Mexico, Key West FL, Grand Cayman) and Eastern Caribbean (Puerto Rico, St Thomas USVI, St Kitts).

The ship's crew hail from all around the world and speak multiple languages. The Retreat's staff were quick to remember my name and personal preferences. Overall, everyone working on board was very friendly and diligent at tidying the ship. This breathtaking venue is the epitome of Celebrity Apex’s outward-facing concept and will awaken every one of your senses in an atmosphere that transforms from chillful mornings to playful afternoons to wonderful evenings. Likewise, the nightlife ranges from quiet corners to full-on participatory performance in the spectacular Eden complex – a gorgeous, window-filled space that feels both relaxing and evocative.

In late March 2021 were canceled 15x more departures part of Celebrity Apex's Western Mediterranean program (June 6 through October 9, 2021). Itineraries were Barcelona roundtrips (12-day "Spain, Malta and Greek Islands" and 9-day "Spain, Italy, and French Riviera") plus six 7-day itineraries were between Barcelona to Civitavecchia-Rome. In the period February 4-8 was successfully completed the first set of sea trials (near the French shipyard) with ~50 crew on the ship (mainly engineers and marine technical experts). In September 2018 was announced that the ship will be christened in Southampton England. On October 31, 2018, was held the keel-laying ceremony, attended by Richard Fain (RCCL's CEO and Chairman), Lisa Lutoff-Perlo and Laurent Castaing. During the keel-laying, a 762-ton hull block was lifted, a lucky coin was placed underneath, then the block was lowered again.

At happy hour, you will find snacks, including a delicious charcuterie board. Hosts are available full time to help with dinner reservations or shore excursion needs for example. Celebrity Apex's 146 Sky Suites are perfect for those who want to dip a toe into suite life. While these don't have living spaces separated from the bedroom (you'll have to upgrade to the Celebrity Suite to get that), they are plenty spacious, have beds that face the water, ample balconies and big bathtubs. We're gaga about the desk found in most cabins, which can be slid into the adjoining dresser to give you more space. Celebrity Apex offers a variety of contemporary staterooms, from inside cabins all the way up to massive suites.

We set the standard for luxury travel and now we’ve made the destination experience even more immersive, starting right on board. Edge Accessible Staterooms are designed with wider doors, roll-in showers, grab bars, and other special features for guests with mobility issues and other disabilities. World renowned interior designer Kelly Hoppen took the lead on design for the staterooms and suites aboard Celebrity Apex. Her work evokes the intimacy of an inviting, indulgent urban apartment that opens to the most beautiful scenery on earth.

Unveiling the Secrets: Can Dentists Craft Retainers?

A retainer is a dental appliance that is used to keep teeth in their correct position. It can be used to prevent teeth from shifting after orthodontic treatment, or to correct minor misalignments. Retainers are typically made of clear plastic or metal, and are custom-fitted to the patient's mouth.

Dentists are qualified to make retainers. They will take impressions of the patient's teeth and use these to create a retainer that fits comfortably and securely. Dentists can also provide instructions on how to care for and use a retainer.
